Vacation Resorts International (VRI) Announces Key Transitions
VRI has announced key transitions of senior management within its’ Eastern Regions that will take effect on January 1, 2011.
Effective January 1, 2011, Ms. Jan Samson will assume the position of Senior Vice President of Operations/Southeast Region for the Company, a position previously held by Alex Fogel since 2006 and who will continue to serve the Company in a “special projects” consulting capacity reporting directly to the President.
"The Southeast Region has been the source of significant Company growth over the past several years under Mr. Fogel's guidance and we fully anticipate that growth to continue under Ms. Samson's leadership," stated Loren V Gallagher, President & General Counsel, "and this change will allow the Company to more directly benefit from Mr. Fogel's decades of experience and creative thinking in his new role as Consultant for Special Projects."
Ms. Stacey Shilling, VRI Chief Operating Officer added "Through her untiring dedication and hard work, I am confident that Jan will provide the leadership in her new role that will grow VRI's position as industry pace-setter within its' vacation ownership management footprint. And, I'm pleased that Alex will continue to contribute to our growth and success as a special projects consultant."
As part of this transition, Rich Muller, Senior Vice-president of Operations/Northeast Region, will assume the senior oversight of the Company's Mid-Atlantic Region. As part of his new responsibilities, Mr. Muller will also assume direct administrative oversight over sales and marketing activities within the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast Regions.
